Welcome to the KIST Learning Enhancement Academic Program (LEAP) Summer Program for 2016.
From this year, in order to best support the development of strong academic skills of our student body, the Summer Program will be offered only to current and incoming KIST students. The goal of this program is to enable a smooth transition from the summer holidays back into the new academic year. Students from G1 and above will have the chance to get regular practice and feedback, and prepare for the upcoming diagnostic tests at the beginning of the year.
In line with the KIST Mission, language and mathematics are essential in all disciplines, and setting high academic expectations supports the development of these vital academic skills. These programs is suited to students who are looking to catch up on content from the previous year and to get a head start for the upcoming year. It can also be a great opportunity for newly enrolling students to make new friends and get to know the school. Depending on your child's diagnostic test result, attendance to the summer program might be recommended or compulsory. Our summer curriculum is an intensive course in English and mathematics, based on the British Key Stage and ICGSE curriculums for K1 - G10, and IB Diploma Programme Curriculum for G11 - G12. Classes are small, and are split according to students’ proficiency levels, allowing our instructors to design classes to suit the needs of their students.
